Australia will hope to complete a three-nil whitewash of France when the sides meet in the final game of their test series at Allianz Stadium on Saturday afternoon. With the series win already wrapped up and the pressure off, Sydney fans will hopefully be treated to a more entertaining game than last week’s try-less affair in Melbourne.
The Wallabies will have been happy to have kept a clean sheet against a top side, but less happy to have not registered a try in a home test match. Hopefully Australia will rediscover the form of two weeks ago in Brisbane where they managed to cross the line on seven occassions.
If recent performances have a suggestion of inconsistency, then the same cannot be said of the results. The Wallabies will be aiming for a seventh consecutive test win on Saturday, representing a big turnaround from the disappointing results early in Ewan McKenzie’s reign.
Despite having already lost the series there is plenty of motivation for France to pull out a big performance in Sydney. The French are looking for their first win on Australian soil for 24 years, while skipper Thierry Dusautoir will break the record for the number of test appearances as French captain.
