Two NRL heavyweights go head to head at ANZ Stadium on Sunday afternoon when St George Illawarra Dragons play host to Canterbury Bulldogs. Recent history has favoured the Bulldogs in this fixture, but a combination of form and circumstance could see the balance of power shift to the Red V.
The Dragons have shown real signs of improvement in the last few rounds having notched three straight wins, and are able to name an unchanged side for this game. Their recent success has been built around solid defence, in fact the Dragons currently have the best defensive record in the NRL.
The Bulldogs have paid a heavy price for the dramatic events from Good Friday with Sam Kasiano, James Graham and David Klemmer all suspended for this match. Time Lafai and Brett Morris are also ruled out through injury.
There are plenty of pre-game activities to take advantage of at this family friendly afternoon game, including balloon artists, face painting and an inflatable obstacle course. The clubs also meet in the NYC with the on field action kicking off at 1.40pm.
Full season Bulldogs members have access to this game thanks to a reciprocal arrangement with the Dragons. All pre-purchased tickets – including members of both clubs – can take advantage of free return rail transport to ANZ Stadium.
