A big crowd is expected at ANZ Stadium for the clash between Canterbury Bulldogs and St George Illawarra Dragons. An afternoon kick-off on Monday to round off the Queen’s Birthday weekend is ideal for families to get out and show their support for these historic rivals.
The Dragons are riding high on the NRL ladder and are now being spoken of as genuine Premiership contenders. The Bulldogs have struggled in the first half of the season, with injuries and suspensions disrupting their rhythm. However, they should never be written off, and the hard fought win in Canberra a fortnight ago demonstrated the potential the Bulldogs have for a late season surge.
The Bulldogs are using this fixture to mark the 30th anniversary of their 1985 Grand Final Win over St George. In the build up to the game players from the 1985 side will be conducting a signing session, and the first 4,000 members through the doors can pick up a 30th Anniversary Pennant.
A Bulldogs Legends v Members touch football game will also keep the crowd entertained pre-match, with the likes of Terry Lamb, Andrew Ryan and Steve Turner running out for the legends.
Ticketed Dragons members with access to ANZ Stadium matches receive reciprocal member rights for this game. All pre-purchased tickets include return rail travel to Olympic Park, and family tickets start from just $50.00.
